What is a Fiber Laser Device?
A fiber laser device is a type of machine that conducts laser beams by means of optical fiber on a workpiece to perform machining operations.
This device is produced in different types and dimensions and is divided into two categories: numerical control fiber laser device and manual fiber laser device. This machine is generally used for cutting, engraving and de-rusting purposes. Laser cutting and laser engraving machines are usually numerical control and manual rusting machines.
The most widely used use of laser devices is laser cutting, which is done by melting thin lines on metal sheets. The thickness of the cut lines in fiber cutting is usually less than 0.2 of the thickness of the sheet metal. Fiber laser cutting machines consist of several main parts, which are:
- Optical system including laser source, fiber optic laser transmission and cutting head
- Electronic system including controllers and drivers
- Mechanical system including chassis, rails, rack and pinion and motors
The most important parts of the optical system are the laser source, the optical fiber and the cutting head.
Laser source and fiber optics are provided in a set that is responsible for producing the laser and transferring the laser to the cutting head.
The main parts of the electronic system of the laser cutting device are the control, which includes two parts of motion control, which is responsible for moving the axes according to the cutting design and height control, which is responsible for adjusting the head height and focus of the lens.

Collimator lens and focus lens both have water-cooling heat sink which reduces the temperature of the cutting head to improve the life of the cutting head.
Independent Control Cabinet

All electrical components and laser source are built-in to the independent control cabinet with a dust-proof design to prolong the lifespan of the electrical components.
The control cabinet is equipped with air conditioner for automatic constant temperature. This can prevent excessive temperature damage to components in summer.
Stainless Steel Protection Design
The operating area adopts a 304 stainless steel design to prevent high temperature cutting sparks from damaging the machine’s surface .
IPAD Designing Screen
Ipad design screen, has a vertical screen display, different from the traditional horizontal screen display with good response speed, higher contrast, wider view, low power consumption as well as high resolution.
In addition, it possesses high brightness levels and lower reflectivity as well as solid glass panel sturdiness and durability.
Transmission and Precision
G.WEIKE fiber laser cutting machine is equipped with Japanese Yaskawa motor, French Motoreducer and Taiwan APEX rack. The positioning accuracy of the machine tool can be 0.02mm and the cutting acceleration is 1G. The working life is up to 10 years.
